Visualize your instruction manuals: Using comics for clear communication in entomological projects

Coordinating workers/volunteers on projects that have multiple steps can benefit from a series of visualized instructions. I share experiences of some recent project protocol sheets that are written in a format that incorporates comic style demonstrations of critical components of the project, which draws attention to potential issues that need a careful eye. Friendly, visual guidelines make multi-step projects approachable and memorable, and I share my approach to making these types of guides.
