Managing biting and nuisance flies is a continual issue in the south. The vast size of Texas leads to even more complexities given all the different climatic conditions the state experiences and the continual movement of animals. Over the past decade plus, I have conducted several studies with cattle and land owners that targets the fly pests they encounter. These studies have looked at many of the products available, both new and old, and at various traps to determine the most efficient and economical ways to maintain both biting and nuisance flies.
