Classification and evolution within narrow-winged damselflies (Odonata: Coenagrionidae)

Coenagrionidae is the largest family of damselflies and demonstrate several unique and striking behaviors. Recently classification changes have rendered Coenagrionidae non-monophyletic and we present an updated family classification in response based on Anchored Hybrid Enrichment data with morphological support. Odonates are a prime example of sexual conflict and female coenagrionids utilize several strategies to avoid males during mating, for example, polychromatism. The level of polychromatism varies between genera which could help explain the diversification within the group.
