This talk explores the mate and nest searching strategies of termite dealates, by applying deep-learning-based posture tracking to video data. I show how termites change their walking patterns for searching different targets and evaluate how far termite pairs could disperse. I will highlight the walking dispersal stage of termites, which is critical for their life cycles yet often overlooked.
